Biography :: New York City born Artist Miguel Paredes is an urban realist who combines the exhilarating sense of New York graffiti art with the skill and perceptiveness of conceptual and contemporary works.   Fluorescent hues and vibrant color choices reflect the artist's mentorship by notorious pop artist Andy Warhol's immediate assistant Ronnie Cutrone.  An exceptional talent, the artist's career is prolific.  Official artist of the 12th annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, Paredes is also well known in South Florida for his charitable art initiatives and innovation in community art programs such as his avid support and work with the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series and Russell & Danny Simmons Rush Philanthropic Art Foundation.  As a Puerto Rican artist from NY, Paredes was one of the first to spearhead the new movement in the Wynwood Art District, opening his first major gallery there in 2010.  Gallery 212 Miami is delighted to launch a collaborating partnership with Miguel Paredes and Michael Perez in Wynwood for Miami Art Basel 2016.
